INSTALLATION
G.E.M are ready to come and fit any appliance, central heating component or system you require. This includes; dish washers, washing machines, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, taps, gas fires, cookers, stoves and boilers.
We are approved installers of Baxi, Potterton, Main, Ravenheat and Vokera boilers, this means we can usually offer free extended warranty but can also install boilers from Ideal, Worcester bosch, Glow worm, keston, Vaillant, veissman and more. So whether you need a new appliance fitting or an extra radiator adding to your heating system, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
​All our boiler installations are flushed and all our combi boilers are fitted with Magnetic Boiler Filters, Limescale Inhibitors and Shock Arrestors as standard. This is to comply with manufacturers extended warranty requirements. All boilers come with a programmable controller.
HANDY JARGON BUSTER
Shock Arrestors
A shock arrestor are used to prevent water hammer. Water hammer is caused by shock waves running through the water system which cause noise, or in extreme cases pipe movement leading to leaks and cracks. These shockwaves can damage plastic parts within boilers.
Limescale Inhibitors
Limescale inhibitors are used for water treatment to prevent limescale build up on heat exchange surfaces in boilers. Limescale inhibitors can increase the life of boiler parts.
Magnetic Boiler Filters
Magnetic boiler filters are designed to catch the black metallic sludge which is often found in central heating systems. They capture the iron particles and keep hold of them between boiler services (which is when they should be cleaned out). These filters greatly help your boiler to run smoothly between services.
Flushing
All boilers fit by D.E.M. Yorkshire Ltd will be flushed in accordance to your boilers manufacturers installation instruction. Some central heating systems may require power flushing, at D.E.M. Yorkshire Ltd we will inform you if this is required and advise of any additional costs.
Controls
D.E.M. Yorkshire Ltd can offer a wide variety of controls, from basic room thermostats to internet and smartphone heating controllers. These can be discussed at any time and added to your quotation if required.
